Coldest Night of the Year is a national community walkathon in support of people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Each February we take to the streets of downtown Victoria and the Westshore. Leaving the comfort and warmth of our homes we walk in solidarity, raising funds and support for our neighbours in need.
Registration is now open for Coldest Night 2025!

Sponsor a Meal at Our Place
Our Place serves over 1,400 meals every day to the most vulnerable citizens of Greater Victoria. Your meal sponsorship allows us to enhance our nourishing meals and keep up with rising food costs.
When you sponsor a meal, you have the option of coming to the community centre and helping the kitchen team serve your meal. This is a meaningful team-building event for up to 7 people and a fantastic way to demonstrate your support and care.
After your meal service, we are delighted to offer you a tour of our community centre and an opportunity to talk about our services.
Looking for a larger group activity? Please consider sponsoring multiple meals, or our Care Kit program.
Meal sponsorship starts at $600 with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner available. Book your sponsored meal today by emailing rachelh@ourplacesociety.com
Hungry Hearts: Victoria’s premiere culinary showdown and gala
Thanks to our incredible chefs, donors, and sponsors we raised a record-shattering $310,000 in support of Our Place’s Woman’s Therapeutic Recovery Community! Thank you for helping break the cycle of addiction for women, families, and our community. We are thrilled to open the doors for women in recovery this winter!
Our Place is opening the first long-term women’s addiction recovery community on Vancouver Island. This ground-breaking initiative is slated to open this winter at the New Roads Therapeutic Recovery Community. All funds raised at Hungry Hearts 2024 will directly support this life changing and life saving support for the most vulnerable people in society- women battling addiction.
Congratulations to the Hungry Hearts Champion: Chef Curtis Toth of Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort
