There are a variety of activities which are appropriate for groups of 4 to 12 individuals (age 19 and over). We can also accommodate larger groups occasionally. The volunteer experience typically includes a tour of the facility with a discription of our services and how we help our community. If time allows, a family member (client) may speak with the group about their life experience and answer questions.
Groups will be provided with all items needed to perform their task, but are asked to wear closed toe, non-slip shoes and modest clothing. It is recommended that valuables be left at home, however a safe place for coats and bags will be provided. Groups who work with us through meals time, are welcome to enjoy the meal together with our family and other volunteers

Students will often help with:
Students 16 and older, with their chaperones may serve meals in our dining room however students 13- 15 are invited to work on projects away from our client base. (Children under 13 may not volunteer in our building, however we suggest exploring donation drives or seasonal baking as alternate projects) We recommend group size be less than 12, but we can accommodate larger groups at times.
Some high school leadership groups have committed to regular shifts through the school year. These groups attend with their chaperones on a weekly basis and are a valued addition to our volunteer team.
