Volunteer

When a volunteer becomes a member of the Our Place volunteer team, they become an integral part of something very special: the Our Place family. Whether an employee tasked with ensuring that volunteers have the training, tools and resources they require to perform their roles effectively, a volunteer assisting in one of our program areas or someone coming in for a hot cup of coffee and a friendly smile, we are all members of the Our Place family.

The many diverse roles taken on by Our Place volunteers involve being of service to our family. Volunteers provide assistance in one of our program areas, are members of our board of directors, help out at special events and take on special assignments that make the best use of their talents and experience. And by offering your time in service to our family, it is our hope and expectation that you will enjoy the laughter, humour and sharing that happens between volunteers, employees and family members each and every day.

Volunteers are an essential part of keeping Our Place Society and its many programs and services running smoothly. We could not open our doors each and every day without the support and assistance of our valued volunteers. In return, our commitment is to offer volunteers a positive, a fulfilling and an enjoyable volunteer experience. Our program managers and employees are committed to providing volunteers with the ongoing support, orientation, feedback and training they will require to perform their roles efficiently and effectively.
